Espoma

Espoma sells top-tier garden products - soil, fertilizer, and pest control for just about any kind of plant you may have. They wanted the Espoma social media presence to represent the bright, joy-inducing nature of their products. As a plant lover myself, I was thrilled to take on this challenge. Inspired by the vivid colors on their packaging and by the brightness of Spring itself, I revived their graphic style with the campaigns below.

Natural Habitat

For the first graphic campaign, we wanted to highlight the beautiful things one can grow with Espoma products. To do this we placed the product bags into that scenery. The slideshow circles through the variety of gorgeous greens, flowers, and trees that particular product can feed.

Wow!

For a second campaign, we wanted to highlight specific features of each product. Inspired by the “As Seen on TV” ads of a time now passed, text callouts are added as funky animated badges. The rotated products are done with stop motion style animation to feel like the product is being shown on a spinning pedestal.

Simply Graphic

Our third campaign featured a colorful background paired with animated icons and text to explain the benefit of each product. The solid tone in each graphic served as a nice, minimal space in the feed to separate the usual greenery photographs and UGC.

Illustrations & Info

For the summer 2021 campaign, we wanted to keep using text within the graphic as opposed to heavy post copy. To switch it up from the last campaign, this season’s graphics feature animated illustrations alongside a step-by-step guide of how to grow your best produce using Espoma products..
